This is the story of the American composer, Gordon Getty, the son of J. Paul Getty, who at his death in 1976 was the richest man in the world. J. Paul Getty was the head of a family dynasty known for scandal: suicides, drug overdoses, kidnapping. All suffered from the curse that comes with great wealth. But there is one survivor, someone who has dodged the curse, - J. Paul Getty's son from his fifth marriage, - Gordon Getty, age 80.
