At the beginning of the 20th century, the rhinoceros population was estimated at 500,000 specimens. Today they are only 23,000 to 27,000. The black rhinoceros is critically endangered if the current rate of poaching persists, it could be extinct in twenty to thirty years. In this programme we dive into the urgent battle for rhino preservation against poaching and habitat destruction.
